As I reflect on the day, and its significance, I can't help but think of my cousin Chris who serves honorably in the U.S. Army. This is how I feel like 9/11 gets the closest to me and my family. If the tragedy of this day had not happened, my cousin would not have served multiple tours in Iraq. And he wouldn't be returning soon for another year long deployment. One more year away from his growing children. One more year away from his beautiful wife.
So Chris, thank you, for working to give us enduring freedom. Thank you, Tabatha, for persevering as single mom.
The two of you are amazing examples of dedication and sacrifice.

Praying for your cousin to come home safely, and so many others as well!
My heartfelt thanks to all our military personnel and their families... today and every day.
Hey Alicia, thanks for commenting on my blog today! Your point was so well thought, and I'm not just saying that because I'm in agreement with you. I always like meeting new people and seeing what they have to say on their blogs. Hope to see you around again!
