Guest Writing: Contentment

Stephanie at Stephanie's Mommy Brain is hosting a blog series entitled "Living as a Single Christian Woman," and I am honored to be one of the guest writers. Even though the article is related to singlehood (I married at age 27), my main point is how critical contentment is, no matter the marital status. Please head over there to read it. I would love your feedback.

Your writing moved me. I don't think I could have read it at a better time. I graduated college and literally 3 out 4 of my best girl friends were married. It was a struggle in college to not feel like something was "wrong" with me because I didn't have a husband, but now that I am out of the collegiate bubble, I'm realizing that this is exactly where I am supposed to be relationally, academically, and professionally. I'm glad I didn't jump into marriage out of fear and I'm praying that God blesses my decision to try to find contentment in him and wait on his timing in all things, not just marriage.

Thank you for writing that Alicia. It really, truly encouraged me greatly!

Thank you for writing such a great post, Alicia!

I think this series was definitely inspired by God. After all, a series on singlehood seems kind of odd for a mommy blog. But it's been really great! I love how God is using the very different stories of 3 amazing women to reach the hearts of other women!
