Aloha Friday

So I've been pretty sober in my posts this week and the next few lined up aren't super chipper either. Deployment blues are setting in. I thought I could use a little pick me up, and nothing like a little Aloha Friday over on An Island Life to do it! Here's how it works:

In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day the we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.

If you’d like to participate, just post your own question on your blog and leave your link below. Don’t forget to visit the other participants! It’s a great way to make new bloggy friends!

Here is my question: What has been the highlight of your week?

You can leave your response below. And if you’d like to participate, just post your own question on your blog and leave your link in the comments section. It’s a great way to make new bloggy friends!

Getting a envelope that had a check in it for a sweepstakes win, that I won last year!!

Wow, you guys have had really exciting weeks!!! Let me post my highlight, so that everyone knows they can comment on the little things!

My son was asked to go sit in the "so sad" corner at school because he was messing with another child's shoe during carpet time. Instead of becoming angry about it, he said, "Yes ma'am, Mrs. Ferguson" and did it without complaint. He was able to rejoin the group in no time.

His teacher and I seriously had a little happy party because of this improvement!! Although, I can't say I wouldn't have loved to have won a sweepstakes!

The highlight of my week is that Christmas is finally over - hubby is back at work and my company has gone home. We're working on getting back into a routine. After only 4 days the baby is already back to a 3 hour schedule and only waking up TWICE at night instead of every hour! Yippee for me!! It's almost like winning a sweepstakes. = )

My highlight, has been enjoying my children, hearing from my son who is away from home and making a dent in my personal to do and improve on list!

And congratulations to your little one for doing such a good job!

Well this week has been awful so I'd have to say this morning when I woke up and didn't feel nauseous finally.

I would have to say the highlight of my week was going to Outback Steakhouse last night for my lung function celebration!

I found out that I get to review the No-Peek Waffle Maker from Calphalon! Waffles are probably my ultimate comfort food, and I've never owned a decent waffle maker, so I'm really psyched!! :)

Happy Aloha Friday!

It's been really fun to read everyone's comments. I've had a really normal week. We received our final Christmas card of the season . . . but that isn't exactly the highlight. I think my highlights are all the little moments with my kids and husband that kind of lump together . . . oh, and I figured out that my kids CAN sort and put the clean laundry away at the end of every evening and so I have no more clean laundry pile-up! That's a pretty big deal for me!

I guess mine is not being sick anymore and little man getting over his cold too. He's been awful clingy and that means I don't get a lot done. So I'm thankful that today I've been able to accomplish something.

So many people sick! I guess I should look on the bright side-that you're announcing the end of the sickness.

Honey, thank you.

The highlight of my week was when my son pointed to his butt and said "tush" in his little munchkin voice.
Aloha!

My son got a good news note from school, and my daughter didn't have a meltdown when leaving speech therapy.

It's the little things in life.

Highlight of the week was quitting my job on Monday! Woohoo! My old boss reads my blog, so I can't blog about it. VERY exciting though! :)
