It'll be quiet for a few days...

I won't be posting much this week, just the bare bones. Trust me, I know I'll miss the break more than anyone else! This is just my last week w/you know who, and I'm feeling the time slipping away. I had to write it, though, because I'm living in SUCH denial! Plus, I knew if I posted it I would give myself more grace about not writing. Please pray for me, and I'll get back soon.

Jill, I wish I could tell you those things. I feel so secretive because I can not give any details of the deployment over the internet for security reasons. Telling that I'm down to the week is pretty bold! But just know that a standard Navy deployment is around 6 months (and we are expecting this to be standard). I can't really even say where he's not going because that would probably narrow it down too much! I can post locations after the fact, though, so once he's in port in a certain place I can talk about it which will give you a good indicator of where he is.

Alicia, you're in my thoughts and prayers. I have such admiration and respect not only for men in the service, but for their wives. You are women of another caliber!

Alicia,

You won't know me but your beloved sometimes comments on my blog. He told me about the deployment as well as the CF. I promised I'd pray for him, you and your family when he was deployed, so here's someone on the other side of the Atlantic remembering you all in prayer.

Grace and peace,

Dave
